Each spring Trinity Evangelical partners with Help Build Hope (a ministry of Crossroads Missions) and Habitat for Humanity to frame the walls for new homes right in our own parking lot. It’s a wonderful opportunity to do missionary work right here in Upper Sandusky!
When: The 9th Annual House Build for Habitat for Humanity will be Saturday, April 18 at 8:00 am!
What We Do: Crew leaders with some basic construction knowledge lead groups of 3-8 people in assembling one wall at a time. Most years we have framed 2 homes and have been done by lunchtime! Trinity Evangelical pays for the lumber and sends a check for the roof lumber to the receiving Habitat for Humanity. Each year following the build, we have lunch together to celebrate!
Who Can Get Involved: All ages are encouraged and able to participate. No construction experience necessary. Children with adult supervision are welcome. Volunteers are needed and welcome to: build, lead a group of builders, bake, help in the kitchen, set up, and clean up. Volunteers DO NOT need to attend Trinity. Many people from the community join us each year.
How to Get Involved: This year's house build will be Saturday, April 18 at 8:00 am! To participate, you will need to register online. Registration will open around the middle of March (stay tuned for more info). Then, once you're registered, you just need to show up with a pair of work gloves! All other tools are provided on site.
Registration will open up mid-March. Stay tuned!
