Position Title: Director of Youth Ministry (6th-12th Grade) 


Position Supervisor: Senior Pastor  


Position Location: Upper Sandusky, Ohio  



Organization Overview: Trinity Evangelical Church is dedicated to making an impact on our community. We are a growing, spirit-led church whose mission is To Know Christ and to Make Him Known. Our goal is to Be and Build Fully Devoted Followers of Christ. We average 650 on Sunday morning worship in three services. 


Position Overview: We are seeking a Director of Youth Ministry to provide leadership and vision to our youth from 6th-12th grade to help achieve the church’s vision and goals. The Director of Youth Ministry will report to the Senior Pastor. 


Youth Overview: Reignite is a Wednesday evening youth ministry where we Love God, Love Others and make Disciples. This high energy, faith-filled, Jesus centered movement engages, equips and empowers 6th-12th grade students to maximize their God-given potential for the purpose of serving, adding value and positively impacting others through the grace, truth and love of Jesus Christ. This year Reignite served over 200 youth from 5 counties. Through our leadership team and 60+ volunteers Reignite brought over 40 youth to Christ and saw their decision to be baptized in the last year. This growing and powerful ministry is impacting our youth and our community. We also have over 40 youth on average in Sunday School and a Reignite Leadership Team of Youth who meet twice a month on Sunday evenings. 


 Qualifications:  

  • Deep, personal faith in Jesus Christ 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills conducive to building relationships with our youth and leading them in worship and Ministry 

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized and a strong team player with a high level of energy and time commitment for demanding events including weekends, evening hours, and summer mission trips.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with church leadership, volunteers and staff.  

  • Bachelor's degree and higher education preferred but not required 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • A deep commitment to the mission, values and goals of Trinity Evangelical Church  


Primary Areas of Focus and Responsibilities: The Director of Youth Ministry will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive youth ministry that includes Reignite, mission trips, Sunday School, Youth Leadership training and outreach to students from 6th-12th grade.  


Wednesday Reignite and Sunday Leadership 

  • Lead, direct and give vision to the Wednesday evening Reignite youth ministry.  

  • Deliver faith-filled, Jesus centered messages for our 6th-12th grade youth.  

  • Provide communication and training to adult volunteers and the youth leaders.  

  • Teach High School Sunday School on Sunday morning 

  • Lead deeper discipleship for Youth Leadership students on Sunday evenings 

Mission Trips and Experiences 

  • Lead, direct and give vision to High School summer mission opportunities.  

  • Lead, direct and give vision to Middle School summer mission opportunities.  

Administrative and Sunday worship  

  • Responsible for advertising directed at youth.  

  • Provide guidance and information for the youth website.  

  • Assist with Sunday worship as needed.  

  • Be available to assist with pastoral duties as requested. Including delivering the message in the absence of our Senior Pastor.  

  • Be aware of and abide by the church budget and church policies. 

  • Work with committees such as Human Relations, Trustees, Finance, and Church Council.

The Assistant Director of Youth Ministry will report to the Director of Youth Ministry.

  • Responsible for tracking the Youth Ministry Budget.  
  • Provide guidance and information for the youth website.   
  • Assist with Sunday worship as needed.   
  • Be available to assist with pastoral duties as requested.  
  • Be aware of and abide by the church budget and church policies.  
  • Work with committees such as Human Relations, Trustees, Finance, and Church Council. 


Work Environment: 

A flexible schedule through coordination with other staff members to meet the schedule needs of the church. Requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as church events dictate. 


Compensation: 

Salary commensurate with experience and scope of responsibilities.

Job Title: Preschool Director

Location: STEPS Christian Preschool (108 Malabar Drive, Upper Sandusky, OH 43351) 

Position Type: Part-Time

Pay: Salary dependent upon qualifications

Reports to: Head Pastor & STEPS Board


Position Summary: 


STEPS Christian Preschool is a faith-based preschool serving children ages 3-5, with a mission statement of “To know Christ and to make Him known.” The preschool operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:15 AM to 2:00 PM, with optional extended day programs available in both the morning and afternoon. STEPS Christian Preschool recognizes each child as a child of God and provides for each child an educational experience to help him/her grow intellectually, socially, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Each family is valued, respected and encouraged to participate in his/her child’s preschool experience. We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced individual to serve as preschool director. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the preschool program while also providing a nurturing, educational environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader with a heart for children, a commitment to fostering early childhood development, and a dedication to integrating Christian principles into the curriculum. 


Key Responsibilities: 


Be on-site for a minimum of 15 hours per week while school is in session, with additional hours as needed during the summer

● Develop and oversee implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and educational programs aligned with Christian values, school principles, and state guidelines. 

● Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations. 

● Supervise and evaluate preschool staff, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities. 

● Manage budgets, prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and organize fundraising initiatives. 

● Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, and community members. 

● Plan and coordinate events and activities that reflect the Christian mission. 

● Address any behavioral, academic, or developmental concerns in collaboration with parents and staff. 


Qualifications:

 

● Active member of a Christian church and willingness to incorporate faith-based lessons. 

● Must sign and live by Trinity Evangelical’s Ministry Covenant. 

● Meet ODJFS administrator requirements. 

● Previous experience in a leadership or administrative role preferred. 

● Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices. 

● Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
